 Lin Zhongqin 

 

Professor Lin Zhongqin is the Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
Professor Lin’s research interests include sheet metal forming, manufacturing quality control and process simulation technologies. He has been in charge of more than 40 major projects sponsored by national “973” Program, “863” Program, the National Science Foundation of China as well as Industry projects. He has received three National Science and Technology Progress Awards, Cheung Kong Scholar Achievement Award, Prize for Scientific and Technology Innovation of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, etc.
Professor Lin has also played a leading role in numerous professional organizations. He is also a member of the standing committee of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Chairman of the Modern Design Methodology Society of Shanghai, Leader of manufacturing quality promotion group in National Manufacturing Strategy Advisory Committee, etc.

 Lin Li 



Professor Lin Li, is the Associate Dean of Business Engagement and Innovation (since Sept 2016), Faculty of Science and Engineering, Director of Laser Processing Research Centre, Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE) of The University of Manchester. He served as President of Laser Institute of America (2016), President of  International Academy of Photonics and Laser Engineering (2013-2015), and President of Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU – 2017-2019), Deputy Head of School and Director of Research of School of MACE (2009-2013) and Head of Manufacturing Research Group (2004-2014).
He is an elected Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellow of EU Academy of Science, an author and co-author of over 380 publications in peer-reviewed journals related to laser based manufacturing. He is also inventor/co-inventor of 60 patents. His research has collaborated with over 70 companies. He received Arthur Charles Main Award from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in 2001 for work in laser based nuclear decommissioning technology. He received the Sir Frank Whittle Medal from the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2013 for innovative manufacturing that has generated significant economical impacts. In 2014 he received Wolfson Research Merit Award from the Royal Society for his research on laser nano- fabrication and nano-imaging, and received Researcher of the Year medal from The University of Manchester in 2014. He is a non-executive director of 3 UK private  companies.
He obtained a BSc degree in Control Engineering from Dalian University of Technology (China) in 1982 and a PhD degree in Laser Engineering from Imperial College London in 1989. He worked at University Liverpool (UK) between 1988- 1994 as a Research Associate and Research Fellow in laser materials processing and became a Lecturer in Manufacturing at UMIST, UK and promoted to a full Professor in Laser Engineering in 2000.

Rector Mikhail Pogosyan



Rector Mikhail Pogosyan, majored in aeronautics engineering, graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute n.a. Sergo Ordzhonikidze in 1979. He previously worked as an engineer, design-engineer, leading designer, head of brigade, head of department, head of chief designer, chief designer, deputy General Designer, first deputy of General Designer of Sukhoi Design Bureau between 1979 and 1998. Then he worked as the Director General of Sukhoi Aviation Military Industrial Complex from 1998 to 2003. From 2003 to 2011, he worked as the Director General of JSC “Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company”. He has doubled as Head of “Aircraft Design” Department of Moscow Aviation Institute (national research university)” since 2003. Meanwhile, he worked as CEO of JSC “United Aircraft Corporation” from 2011 to 2015. Then, he has been the Rector of Federal State Budget Higher Education Institution “Moscow Aviation Institute (national research university)”. For his distinguished works, he has received 9 awards from the government and industry, including Order of Honour 2002, Medal “In commemoration of the 850th anniversary of Moscow” 1997, Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic 2008, Laureate of State Prize of the Russian Federation in Literature and Arts 1996, Laureate of the Russian Federation Government Award 1998, Diploma of the Government of the Russian Federation 2006, Honoured Worker of the Urals Optical Mechanic Factory 2006, Honorary professor of Kazan Technical University n.a. A. Tupolev 2010, Honoured “Mechanical Engineer” 2011.

 Ivan IORDANOFF 



Professor Ivan IORDANOFF, PhD,Arts et Metiers Institute of Technology is a French University of technology devoted to the manufacturing industry. Located in heigh campuses through the French Territory, it has developed since 2005 a unique network in France, close to industry and especially SMe with the ability to bring together the best expertise through our internal and partnership network to create innovation through research and education programs.

With both experiences in Industry and University, Belonging to the Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology executive committee since 2013, Prof Iordanoff develops this strategy that places Arts et Métiers Science and Technology as one of the leading French institution for the development of the Manufacturing Industry at the French and European level.

He recently leads the working group of the French alliance for the Industry of the future on AI for industry and he is strongly involve in the digitalization strategic plan of Arts et métiers Institute of Technology with some industrial key partners as 3DS, ESI Group and Microsoft. He has published more than Fifty papers with high impact on numerical modelisation in Mechanical engineering
